Vice President, Instruments Division
Jason joined ProteinSimple in June 2008, and currently has responsibility for the Instruments division of Bio-Techne, which includes ProteinSimple. Before leading the Instruments division, Jason was the CFO and VP, Operations, responsible for all finance, global manufacturing, customer care and administrative functions. Prior to ProteinSimple, Jason was the Vice President of Finance at Nektar Therapeutics, responsible for strategic corporate finance, planning and analysis, and treasury. Before Nektar, Jason served in various senior financial leadership roles at Molecular Devices Corporation, including most recently as Director of Finance, from October 2000 to June 2007. Jason was responsible for the worldwide accounting, finance and treasury functions at Molecular Devices, and played a key role in the execution and integration of its corporate development activities. Jason began his career with Ernst & Young LLP, based in San Francisco, California. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and is a C.P.A. (inactive).
Vice President of Product Development
Bob brings nearly 20 years of experience to the ProteinSimple development team. Most recently, he served as Director of Engineering at MDS Analytical Technologies (previously Molecular Devices, Inc.), where he directed multidisciplinary teams of mechanical, electrical, firmware, and systems engineers. Bob has a strong record of creating highly successful laboratory systems, including industry-leading optical plate readers and high throughput screening platforms. Prior to Molecular Devices, he managed a team of engineers at Affymax Research Institute, developing automated peptide and small molecule synthesis and compound-handling instruments. Bob holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University.
Vice President of Sales
Terry brings over 20 years of experience selling and building highly effective, worldwide sales teams in life sciences. Prior to joining ProteinSimple, Terry was Vice President of Worldwide Sales at ForteBio playing a critical role in successfully selling the business to Pall Corporation. Terry's previous positions include Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Service at Eksigent Technologies and Director of Sales at Molecular Devices. At Molecular, Terry was Director of the Western region and had responsibility for sales of all Life Sciences products. Terry holds a BS in Biotechnology from Minnesota State at Mankato. She loves to golf, cook and travel.
John Proctor, Ph.D.
Director of Marketing
John joined ProteinSimple in May 2012, and currently has responsibility for all of global marketing including product management and marketing communications. He has over 8 years of experience marketing and selling novel Life Science instrumentation. Prior to leading the Marketing team, John was the Director of Corporate Development at ProteinSimple looking for strategic solutions to enhance ProteinSimple's product portfolio. Before joining ProteinSimple, John held various positions within marketing and field applications at ForteBio and Molecular Devices, including most recently as Director of Worldwide Field Applications at ForteBio. John has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of California, San Francisco.
Director of Global Operations and Customer Care
Eric joined ProteinSimple in January 2013, and is responsible for global manufacturing operations and customer care. Before joining ProteinSimple, Eric was an expatriate living and working for 8 years in Asia. Most recently, he served as General Manager at Metallkraft in Singapore and China, where he was responsible for the successful startup and operation of two significant greenfield manufacturing projects. Prior to that, he served at Molecular Devices as General Manager of manufacturing operations in China, as well as Director of Manufacturing Engineering in California. Eric started his career in manufacturing engineering with KLA-Tencor in Milpitas, California. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology.
